With its latest addition to the iPhone lineup, Apple has made some significant changes, especially in the design department. The company has finally decided to move away from the slender proportions and boxy lines of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 in favor of a more curvaceous Android-like appearance. One thing is clear: the iPhone 6 and its larger sibling, the iPhone 6 Plus, are beautiful and arguably the best smartphone devices available. Apple is planning on gearing up millions of people with its latest flagship, but these phones hit more than just stores. They also hit plenty of sidewalks when emotional customers accidentally dropped them. Even though it’s a shame to cover the iPhone 6’s beautiful design, this sexy device requires some protection. For this purpose we have tested some of the best iPhone 6 cases available on the market.
The iPhone 6 has grown a lot, compared to its predecessor. The larger dimensions were designed to house all the incredible new features: a 1334-by-750-pixel display with Retina-approved 326 pixel/inch, the brand-new A8 system-on-a-chip processor, NFC radio for Apple Pay and M8 motion coprocessor. Whether you already have an iPhone 6 or are planning on investing one, you should also consider adding a good case to the mix. What’s a few extra bucks when it comes to protecting your beloved device? Luckily for you, iPhone 6 cases abound. Here are our top picks:
1. Incipio NGP
Price: $13.40 / Material: Flex 2O polymer
One of the biggest problem with iPhone 6 cases is the fact that they hide the beautiful design of Apple’s flagship. This will no longer be the case with Incipio NGP. We chose this case as our number one for several reasons: it is slim without having to forfeit in the protection department, it will make your iPhone 6 actually look like an iPhone 6, and it is also extremely cheap.
Don’t expect the Incipio NGP to protect your iPhone if you decide to slam it on the ground as it is designed only to protect against minor drops. The case is made from shock-absorbing material that will protect the device from fading, tearing or stretching. Another thing that we liked about Incipio’s case is the fact that it comes in a multitude of colors like coral, blue, frost, neon pink, black, and teal.

Price: $15.71 / Material: rubber
Number two on our list of best iPhone 6 cases are the models designed by Californian company Craffic. This manufacturer offers a wide assortment of personalized cases through Etsy. They have something for anyone, including a vintage cassette model. Also, customers are encouraged to choose their custom design. This simple snap-on case supposedly protects all sides of the iPhone 6 including its corners.
With a 4.5-star rating from over 2400 reviews on Etsy, we can safely say that this is a product worth considering. Craffic also creates cases for iPhone 5S, 5 and 4, 4S. The best thing about Craffic cases is the fact that they are extremely light-weight and will not make the iPhone feel bulky. Price-wise, a case costs about 15 dollars, making them the ideal affordable option for those who enjoy vivid designs.

3. Toffee Flip Wallet
Price: $50 / Material: genuine leather
This one is probably my favorite of all iPhone 6 cases presented in the article. Of course, this kind of wallet-style case might not suit everyone, but it’s worth checking out. It may cost 50 dollars, but the quality materials used make it well worth the investment. This custom-fit hard shell wrapped case with three card slots and pockets for receipts and money are held together with the help of a magnet clasp. The magnet also holds the case back while you are talking on the phone.
If you are the type of person who keeps his/her phone, credit cards, and money together, then the Toffee Flip Wallet is the perfect choice. The iPhone 6 version has a size of 70mm x 142 mm x 13 mm. You can buy this case in black, brown and red.

4. Encase Flexishield Glitter Gel Case
Price: $10 / Material: transluscent gel
Here’s another excellent option for budget iPhone 6 cases: the Encase Flexishield Glitter Gel Case. I believe that this is the most precious looking of all cases, despite its incredibly low cost. The case is made from translucent gel, which means that you can protect the iPhone while also showcasing its beautiful design.
Because of its incredibly lightweight design you shouldn’t expect the Encase Flexishield Glitter Gel case to be extremely durable or resistant against drops. The back panel has a pretty glittery effect and the case perfectly hugs the side of the device with a small lip.

5. Proporta Leather Sleeve
Price: $34 / Material: genuine leather
Yes! I like leather. Especially when it comes under the form of iPhone 6 cases. Genuine leather cases aren’t just beautiful; they also offer enough protection for your phone. At a 34 dollar price-tag and with a life-time warranty, the iPhone 6 Proporta Leather sleeve sports a super soft microfiber lining cover with a magnetic pull tag for easy use.
Considering that the iPhone 6 is a rather fragile device, it can be extremely useful to protect it against scratches and fading. Because it has a rather lightweight design it will also fit comfortably in your pockets. Keep in mind, however, that the design of this case makes it impossible to protect the top of the phone. Nevertheless, if you don’t mind hiding the esthetics of the phone behind a leather case, then the Proporta Leather Sleeve case might be the perfect choice for you.
Also, for an extra 6 dollars you can have a text of your choosing embossed on the case.

6. NewerTech NuGuard KX
Price: $28 / Material: X-Orbing Gel
If protection is your number one concern while looking for iPhone 6 cases online, you should definitely consider the NuGuard KX from NewerTech. The company has drop-tested its case from 131 foot on Other World’s Computing onsite wind turbine as well as a 20 foot onto concrete.
This particular case was designed to absorb and evenly distribute kinetic energy and even though it packs quite a few features, it doesn’t have a bulky design. The back of the case also has a crosshatch texture design which provides better grip and it comes in several colors including black, midnight, blue and red.
Case Size: 0.14 x 0.7 x 6.0 inches

Price: $34.99 / Material: polycarbonate
To be honest, I’ve never been a great fan of the OtterBox. The company’s designs feel a bit too rigid for me. However, OtterBox has been making iPhone cases for the last 11 years and they are very good at what they do. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the company has already started working on its iPhone 6 cases, including the Commuter, Symmetry and Defender series.
In the image above we have the Defender series, which is arguably the best iPhone 6 case in terms of protection, sporting a built-in screen protector, synthetic rubber slip cover and polycarbonate shell. If you’d rather go for a slimmer design, you can always choose the Symmetry series. What I like about Otterbox is that it creates designs for all tastes and it always experiments with lively and unusual colors.

9. Speck CandyShell Case
Price: $24 / Material: reinforced rubber
The Speck CandyShell case combines excellent protection with a beautiful design. The product is currently discounted on Amazon (from $34 to $24). This case’s patented design consists of two layers of protection fitted in a single-piece construction. The Speck CandyShell offers the ultimate protection. It was military-grade drop tested on unrelenting surfaces. The devices used for these tests retained full functionality.
Interestingly enough, the inside of the case is made from soft rubber with reinforced corners designed to protect the fragile parts of the iPhone 6. The raised lip hugs the outside of the screen and lays flat on its surface without decreasing tactility control. The only thing we didn;t like about the Speck CandyShell is the fact that the back doesn’t have a flat surface. In other words, your device will never be completely still while resting on its back: it might spin and get knocked over.

9. Apple’s Leather Case
Price: $45 / Material: leather
Of course, Apple has designed its very own iPhone 6 cases – the same way it did with its previous models. As much as I hate to admit it, the original iPhone 6 Apple case feels extremely pleasant, so if you are willing to forfeit a bit of drop protection for a more comfortable grip, you might want to invest 45$ in this case.
One thing you should take into account is the fact that leather materials are prone to getting dirty and they will eventually loosen. In addition to this, the case will develop a unique patina over time.
The soft microfiber lining on the inside helps protect your iPhone. And on the outside, you see color that’s more than surface deep, thanks to a dye that’s infused into the leather. Choose from five complementary colors. – Source: Apple Product Description
The case comes in five colors: black, red, midnight blue, brown and pink.

10. Spigen Aluminium Case
Price: $26 / Material:polycarbonate and aluminium
Our last pick for iPhone 6 cases is an aluminum case created by Spigen. This company has manufactured a wide variety of cases for iPhones, each of them at affordable prices, but what I really liked was the lightweight Aluminium model. This is one of the very few iPhone 6 cases that I can say look perfect on a device. It is elegant, easy to use, durable and it doesn’t alter the original feel of the device.
The case’s metallic finish, with diamond cutting design and anodizing coating, gleams under bright light. For only 26 dollars this gorgeous case can be yours. Also, if this isn’t quite for you there are plenty of other models that you can check out on Spigen’s website.
